Masters on the Mat

Yoga Masters on the Mat is an age-appropriate, mindfulness-based yoga practice designed to let boys experience mind-body connections through breath and movement. Each class is designed around an educationally-based theme of mindfulness that incorporates a variety of breathing techniques, basic and challenging poses, group poses and final relaxation. Through the class, boys will build upon their changing body awareness, balance, coordination and flexibility while incorporating mindfulness, concentration and self-confidence.

Family Yoga Connections: Wintertime Fun!

iRest Yoga Nidra- Sankalpa Workshop

iRest Sankalpa Workshop

iRest is a form of meditative inquiry where we engage dynamically in a process of exploration and inner knowing. At a basic level sankalpa is defined in Sanskrit as an intention or a vow.

In iRest, this is known as “The Three Resolutions”. During this workshop, we’ll explore each one of these: Intention, Heartfelt Desire and Inner Resource to lay a foundation of inquiry (what is our aim at this moment and for our lives) and inner knowing (sense of Being or Wellbeing).

iRest is based on ancient practices and is a secular meditation that can be practiced by anyone.

Meet Your Feet

Healthy Feet (and ankles, knees, hips, spine…) Begin Here!

The foot has 33 joints, 20 plus muscles, and 200,000 nerve endings for a reason. IT’S IMPORTANT! Join this workshop to learn how to care for and improve the body part that is constantly overlooked, yet necessary for all basic human movements. We will dive into deficits that cause common foot dysfunction such as plantar fasciitis and discuss other relevant topics including footwear and corrective exercises.

Guest instructor, Eryn Simon, is a physical therapist specializing in the lower extremity. She has a practice (Sole Physical Therapy) in Grandview. Eryn educates individuals and rehab professionals with Gait Happens throughout North America.

Yoga Explore & Restore

Each 75-minute practice draws extra care and attention to a region/ system of the body, moving safely through a series of poses designed to draw you into better health and well-being. Options and props are provided for greater support, greater challenge, or just for the fun of exploring something new. Props may include blocks, balls, bands, weights, and chairs. Each class ends with a short meditation to restore balance and ease to the body and mind.

Young Teen Girls Yoga Grades 6 & 7 promotes positive self-image, confidence and love of self - both inside and out.
